My full name is Shawn Jeffries, and in Magic circles, I'm a Regional (Level 3) DCI Judge from the Detroit, Michigan area. I'm more of a collector than a player; and I especially like picking up non-card memorabilia in between cracking open boxes for full sets.
I became a certified judge at the 1997 Pro Tour Chicago, passing directly into Level II (you could do that in those days). My first attempt at Level III was the 2000 Pro Tour Chicago and, although I didn't pass, I did experience my one and only job as a reporter. I was promoted to Level III at 2001 Pro Tour New Orleans. Nowadays, I have the pleasure of working with a lot of great judges and judge-trainees to help them with their certification goals.
I (rarely) hang out on IRC channels #mtg & #mtgjudge, where I go by some variation of "Evil_Eye".
