Spindown dice are life counters for Magic: The Gathering produced by Wizards of the Coast. The life counters resemble standard d20 gaming dice, except for the pattern of numbers. Spindown dice have sequential numbers located next to each other. Because these are used for keeping score in a game of Magic, having the numbers arranged this way helps the player quickly adjust their life total.
The dice come in the five colors of Magic. On most, the number "20" is replaced with an expansion symbol matching the special set or fat pack that they were included in. These often include only one or two of the five colors available.
A five-piece set, containing one of each color, was sold as a separate product (WOC06137, ISBN 0743002377). The symbol used was an icon of the 'Black Lotus'.
