Cantrip
From M:TG Archive, a library of Magic: The Gathering information
Cantrip is an informal term that refers to a instant or sorcery that causes the player to draw a card aside from another effect.
"Old cantrips" are Ice Age's spells that had "Draw a card at the beginning of the next upkeep."
Instant or sorcery whose abilities only include card-drawing or that makes the player draw more than one card are normally not considered cantrips.
The term can also be applied to permanents with "When this permanent comes into play, draw a card" or that only have a sacrifice ability that includes "Draw a card".
